Traditionally we always make meatballs with bread, soak it in milk and add it to meat balls. Well I want to cut out unhealthy carbs as much as I can, especially if I can’t taste them in my food(because I just love carb food so I want to taste it when I do eat it). I was making meatballs and thinking what if I replace bread with oatmeal, I went for the risk. After I put them in oven I went to see on pinterest if anyone else made those and of course people did. Well great minds do think alike.
Another experiment I was doing here was baking them rather than frying. Well I got to say I am very impressed and will always bake meatballs from now on, cutting on few calories helps. I did worry that they may turn out little dry but they were delicious.
In a medium or large bowl knead together all ingredients. Let them sit for about 30 minutes, the juices f flavors combine better and oats soak up a bit.
Pre-heat oven to 375F.
Form into decent size balls and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes (depending on your oven), or until browned on outside.
