Whether you celebrate Halloween or not, there’s no denying that the food associated with the holiday is just fun and not to be taken seriously. You can create with a harvest theme in mind, or make something spooky, or gross like these Edible Earwax Swabs, or whimsical like Ghost Toast, or these candy corn waffles. Aren’t they cute??

For those of you who love candy corn, you’ll be disappointed to know there is no actual candy corn in these waffles…and for those of you who hate the taste of candy corn, you’ll be relieved. HA. These waffles look like candy corn, but they’re flavored just like regular waffles. So have no fear and eat up!

Waffle Ingredients

It’s actually a pretty standard waffle recipe, as far as ingredients go. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Dry Ingredients: all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and kosher salt
  • Wet Ingredients: eggs, whole milk, butter, and vanilla
  • Extras: yellow and orange food coloring, and white candy melts

How to Make this Waffle Recipe

You’ll need a round waffle maker for these, and depending on its size, you’ll get between 4-5 whole waffles from this recipe. (Scroll below for the detailed printable.)

  1. Whisk together the dry ingredients and then add in the wet ingredients until thoroughly combined and smooth.
  2. Divide batter between two bowls; tint one with a few drops of orange food coloring and the other with yellow.
  3. Get your waffle maker heated on low and coat it with nonstick spray.
  4. Spoon some orange batter into the middle and then some yellow batter around it. Close lid quickly; cook until just crisp. Repeat with all the remaining batter.
  5. Separate into triangles and dip the tips into melted white candy melts.
  6. Eat immediately while warm with butter and enjoy!
