I have tried this sandwich about year ago and I always remember how delish it was. Recently I finally got in contact with friend of my Alla and she shared this recipe with me. I have never used Foccacia bread or basil pesto sauce in my kitchen and now I am in love with it. The flavor on the bread and sauce is wonderful.
• You can heat up oven to 350F and place sandwich to have cheese melt and warm up the bread. For about 5 minutes.
• My friend that shared this recipe with me also adds omelet inside the sandwich. By making very thing omelet circles and replacing spinach with omelet. I want to try this version one day.
- 8 oz Turkey
- 8 oz Provolone Cheese
- 1 Focaccia Bread
- 1 cup Spinach
- 3 tbsp Basil Pesto Sauce from Costco
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
Slice bread into two pieces. One side spread mayo and on the other basil pesto sauce.
On the bottom piece place turkey meat in one layer. Top off with cheese, spinach and more turkey meat.
Cover with the top layer. Press down to get all ingredients stick together. Cut into small squares.
